| are you sitting comfortably? well, if you are, stop it right now…get up…and move quickly to the dancefloor. because you don't have long from dropping the needle on this badboy before you will be compelled to do so anyway, so you might as well prepare yourself. new boy kanji kinetic starts proceedings with a deceptively wonky intro to ‘the buffalo' before it kicks (in fairly short order) into a stonking rave-up of a tune. heave ho! he continues the dancefloor onslaught with ‘kawaii riddim' , which takes elements of 8bit ‘chip tunes', garage, techno, and other as-yet-unnamed genres, and moulds them into another mentalist stompathon. there's no let up on the flipside though, ‘old hand' michael forshaw drops a raw and ruff live cut, sample heavy and ready to blow, whilst serial disturber 3d!t invents a new genre, rag-core, and in the process makes it possible for you to take your granny raving. who would settle for anything less? |
